Wayvr is a digital waiver, check-in, and payment platform designed for community leagues, gyms, makerspaces, and one-off events. Attendees scan a QR code, sign their waiver, and optionally pay — all from their phone browser in under 60 seconds.
Wayvr is free during the open beta — no credit card required. We'll publish pricing before general availability, and beta users will receive advance notice along with discounted early-adopter rates.
Most organisers are live in under 15 minutes. Create an account, set up your organisation, create an event, assign a waiver template, and share the QR code — that's the whole setup.
Yes, though most organisers switch fully after their first event — there's nothing to reconcile, no scanning, and records are searchable from day one.
Wayvr works well for recurring events (weekly league nights, gym drop-ins) and one-off events (tournaments, workshops, pop-ups). It's particularly strong when you need waivers and ticket payments in a single attendee flow.
No. First-time attendees fill in their details and sign — no account, no app install. Return visitors can optionally save their profile so future check-ins are even faster.
Waivers
Yes. You can create reusable waiver templates in the admin dashboard and assign them to any event. Templates support rich text, so you can write the full legal language you need.
Yes — that's the primary flow. Attendees scan the event QR code and the waiver opens in their phone browser. No shared device or shared screen required.
Signatures are stored in our database alongside a timestamp, the attendee's IP address, and a snapshot of the waiver text at the time of signing. You can export records from the admin dashboard at any time.
Yes. You can stack multiple waivers on a single event (e.g., a participant waiver + a photo release). Attendees sign them in sequence in a single flow.
Contact support and we'll process a data deletion request in line with GDPR / PIPEDA requirements. We retain signed waivers for the period required by your jurisdiction's contract law unless you request earlier deletion.
Payments
Square and Stripe are both supported. Payments are optional — you can use Wayvr for waivers only with no payment configuration required.
Supported currencies depend on your Square or Stripe account configuration. Wayvr passes the payment through to your processor, so any currency your processor account supports will work.
Yes. You can define multiple ticket types per event (e.g., Adult $15, Junior $8, Spectator free). Attendees choose their ticket during the payment step.
Refunds are processed through your Square or Stripe dashboard directly. Wayvr records the payment method and transaction ID so you can look it up easily.
Security
Yes. Wayvr is designed with GDPR, PIPEDA (Canada), and CCPA (California) in mind. We only collect the data necessary to process waivers and payments, and you can request full data deletion at any time.
Yes. Electronic signatures collected through Wayvr meet the requirements of ESIGN (US), eIDAS (EU), and PIPEDA (Canada). Each signature record includes the signer's name, timestamp, IP address, and a copy of the waiver text at the time of signing.
Data is stored in PostgreSQL on infrastructure hosted in Canada. We don't sell or share attendee data with third parties. Payment data never touches our servers — it goes directly to Square or Stripe.
Only admins you've added to your organisation can access your event and waiver data. Wayvr staff can access data only for support purposes, and only with your permission.
We retain signed waivers for as long as your account is active plus a 90-day grace period. You can export all records at any time. Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
Organisers
Yes. Create as many events as you need and run them simultaneously. Each event gets its own QR code and attendance log, and you can switch between them in the dashboard.
Display the event QR code at the door (on a screen, printed, or both). Attendees scan it with their phone camera, sign, and they're done. You can monitor check-ins in real time from the dashboard.
Yes. Export attendance and waiver data from the admin dashboard at any time. CSV export is available for all events.
Yes. You can add additional admins to your organisation from the dashboard. All admins have full access to events and waiver data for your organisation.
Export everything first — we provide full CSV exports. After account closure, data is retained for 90 days in case you need to reactivate, then permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion.
